As we look to a time when we can once again celebrate our community together, in person as well as in remote connection, we are presented again with a question: Why do we do “church?” What holds a group with no central or inerrant creed together? What central force brings Christian and Pagan, heathen and believer, all the various combinations of U and U into one cacophonous and reverent body most Sunday mornings? It is no mystery, friends, it is you.
Cal Frye is a friend of our congregation, an experienced UU preacher, and Humanist Celebrant. He grew up in Wooster, and is a member of the UU congregation in Kent, Ohio. Many of our members know Cal from several years of attending Summer Institute. We are happy to welcome him to our virtual pulpit this morning.
