Dear UUFW children & youth,1st–12th grades, and adults,
In 2016, many of our UUFWC children and youth and adults submitted artwork to the Wayne County Fair. the subjects of the entries were racial justice issues. The Fair is still permitting the display and sale of Confederate flag memorabilia this year, and, in general, our country is in dire need of actions that will thwart the political and social hate that plagues people of color and immigrants daily.
The Racial Justice Team would again like to ask members to consider submitting artwork and/or photography to the Wayne County Fair. The themes we are encouraging are similar to those in 2016–social and racial justice and human rights.
