On Sunday RESCHEDULED: January 27, from 12:15 to 2:00 pm, the Racial Justice Team will host a lunch for Amnesty International’s annual Write for Rights campaign. Soups, bread, sweets, and drinks will be provided.

Write for Rights is Amnesty International’s largest annual human rights campaign. People all over the world write letters on behalf of those who need urgent help. Through the power of collective action, these letters convince government officials to free people unjustly imprisoned and to end other human rights abuses.

This year’s 11 cases are women human rights defenders under threat.

Pen, paper, and envelopes will be provided. Postage for letters will be provided. For those who prefer to send emails, or wish to send emails in conjunction with their letters, bring a laptop. Donations will be accepted to
help defray postage costs.
