The Humanist group meeting on Sunday, January 22, will feature as our speaker, Dr. Sarah Mirza, Assistant Professor of Religious Studies at the College of Wooster. Her topic for discussion will be “Islamic Fundamentalism: Between Neo-Nazism and Neo-Communism.” She teaches courses on Islam and ancient Arab religions. She is currently writing a book on pre-Islamic Arabian legal tradition.
We will meet in the main sanctuary following the second service. Dr. Mirza’s presentation will begin at 12:15 with time for questions and discussion to follow. Please fell free to invite a friend to attend and participate in the discussion.
