It can be hard to know how to get involved whether you are brand new at the UUFWC or have been around a little longer, only attend Sunday services. All of the information below is already in the newsletter, but here it is organized in a way to help you know where you can just show up and where it might be helpful to contact someone before attending.
Just Show Up To:
Sunday Service – Just come! Two services start on September 11 at 9:30 and 11 am. Humanist Discussions – Starts back up September 4 at 11 am in the Triple E class. Meets every other Sunday.
Sunday Scrabble – 7 pm, second Sunday of the month
Zen Meditation – 7pm, every Monday in the Triple E class
Yoga – 6pm, every Monday in the Great Room, small donation is requested.
Make Coffee – Sign up sheet is in the foyer, directions are in the kitchen.
Help with The Madrigal or other events– See upcoming newsletters for details.
Teach children’s religious education – Talk to Chelsea Churpek, DRE.
Serve on a committee (and there are lots!) – See bulletin board by sound controls with committee chairs’ names and photos (currently being updated)
Share your musical talents during the service – Let Sharon Delgadillo know.
Join a Group:
Choir – Meets most Wednesdays at 7pm.
Folk Orchestra – Meets most Wednesdays at 8:15 pm.
Book Group – Meets the 3rd Sunday during the school year. First meeting will be September 18
at 7pm to discuss Between the World and Me.
Racial Justice Working Group – Contact Jason Ferrell and see info in this newsletter. Socrates Café – Starts September 15, meets third Thursday of month at 7 pm.
Earth Centered Group – Meets second and fourth Sunday after service.
Ukulele Group – Meets every other month, 2nd Friday at 7 pm.
