Small Group socializing

Wayne County is Level Orange, and our Safe Reopening Committee has said that means we can have in-person meetings of 10 (ten) or fewer people. These should be masked and distanced, and outdoors if possible. But this means that we can fellowship with each other face-to-face!

To that end, we are introducing our first small group signup! These will be focused around in-person interaction, with a bit of prompts from our Soul Matters curriculum as we ease back into socializing. Our target participants are adults, and youth who have participated in Coming of Age and would like to engage in these conversational groups.

Here is a survey that you can fill out if you are interested in small group socializing. We plan to offer Zoom-only, for those who are out of town or are not yet ready to meet in-person, as well as in-person socializing. We know that if Wayne County moves back to Red, in-person meetings will be paused and these meetings can be held virtually.

The first round will be about six weeks, wrapping up at the end of May. We expect that your group would meet about once a week, depending on member availability. At that time, you can either sign up again for the next round or take a break, depending on your summer plans / vaccination status / the infection level in Wayne County. If you have too much on your plate until then, it’s okay to not sign up for this round.

We’ll take signups and then assign people to small groups. Once small groups are assigned, we’ll email your group with more information.

Look forward to seeing you soon!
